One of the MOST common questions I get asked as a breeder is  “What can I do about my Frenchie’s Gas?”.

If you’ve been searching for the solution to your Frenchie’s smelly gas, I’m about to let you in on a secret… Probiotics!

Probiotics are a type of bacteria. If you’re not quite knowledgeable in the medical field, then it’s easy to think that all bacteria are bad-but there is good and bad within the body!

This post will concentrate on Probiotics and how they work. Then, we will talk about natural probiotics,  their beneficial effects on French Bulldogs, and when French Bulldog’s need them.

Probiotics contain good bacteria that help to maintain and restore the normal bacterial equilibrium in the digestive tract. Natural probiotics help with intestinal disorders and are often recommended to pets with digestive issues or to pets recovering from lengthy antibiotic treatment.

If you are looking for a way to improve your French Bulldog’s digestive health, reduce allergy symptoms and cure bad breath, Healthy Treatz is the answer! These supplements contain probiotics that will help keep them healthy and happy. With many people reporting success in treating their dogs with this supplement, we recommend giving it a try today.

Types of Probiotics

Probiotics are classified into different groups and each have their different health benefits. Let’s take a  look at the two broad types and what benefits they can offer to your Frenchie.

  • Lactobacillus

Lactobacillus are the most commonly found strain of  probiotics. They can be found in large quantities in fermented foods and yoghurts. Lactobacillus is very helpful in the treatment of diarrhea and can aid the digestion of Lactose (the sugar component of milk)

  • Bifidobacterium

Bifidobacteria. You’ll find this strain of Probiotics in dairy products. If your Frenchie is having Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) and some other similar digestive  conditions, Bifidobacterium can help to ease those symptoms.

Another component of Probiotics that helps fight diarrhea in Frenchies is called Saccharomyces Boulardii. This is a yeast found in probiotics, which also fights diarrhea and other digestive problems.
